Mobile HGV Mechanic

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Heavy Vehicle technician to join our team as a mobile technician. As a HGV technician you will be responsible for Identifying faults, servicing and repairing Heavy vehicles in a timely and effective manner, ensuring that health and safety is your number one priority. We are a nationwide specialist HGV hire company, running over 400 muti- axle vehicles from 7.5ton to 44ton. Our fleet compromises of all makes to include DAF, MAN, Scania, Volvo, Mercedes and Iveco with over 90% of the fleet having specialist equipment fitted this includes cranes, tail lifts, hook loader and skip loader equipment.
Responsibilities
As a mobile technician you will be required to attend customer sites and carry out on site PMI’s and maintenance to keep the vehicles maintained in accordance with DVSA. You will also be required to attend breakdowns, carry out diagnostics and repairs to minimise downtime and disruptions for customers.
What you’ll need:
City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in HGV Mechanics
Irtec qualification (if you don’t have this be willing to gain this qualification)
HGV C+E license
Experience working Mobile

Hydraulic Lorry Mounted Crane Technician / Engineer
Job description
Hydraulic crane engineer required to work for a family owned HGV self-drive hire company with a large fleet of vehicles.
Fleet of cranes to include Hiab, PM, Palfinger and Fassi. Also skip and hookloader equipment and various tail lifts.
Job role to include carrying out Annual Loler examinations and testing to Allmi standards, repairs to all crane equipment to keep downtime to a minimum along with attending onsite breakdowns.
Experience in hydraulic repairs essential.
Qualifications -
Crane operators licence (desirable)
Allmi crane testers (desirable)
Full driving licence (desirable)
Working hours - Mon-Fri 8:30-17:00
